Name: Herskovic, Otto

Historical Note: Otto Herskovic was born in Antwerp, Belgium where he lived with his parents, brothers, and sisters. On May 17, 1940, just before Germany occupied Antwerp, the Herskovic family boarded a train to the French frontier. Herskovic and his sister eventually left aboard a ship to the United States, while the rest of their family stayed in the refugee camp.
