Before the war, Ralph and Sarah Posner resided in Czestochowa, Poland

There is no documents of the wartime period. The Posner family either survived the war in the occupied territories or fled their home town of Czestochowa for the USSR. In 1946 they again lived in Czestochowa. Sometime  in 1946 the Posner family arrived in the United States. A U.S. Passport was issued to Ralph Posner on 28 March 1946; it was valid for one year. Sarah Posner was included in his passport.
