18 Sapphires donated by Darrel Couturier, in memory of his grandmother - Dr. Anna Sondheimer-Friedman, and his mother - Marion B. Sondheimer-Couturier. The sapphires were smuggled out of Germany when the family fled the Nazis in 1935, sewn into the family's clothes by Anna.
