- John A. Maitland was a liberator of Ebensee concentration camp as a Private First Class (PFC) soldier in US 3rd Army, XX Corps, 3rd cavalry reconnaissance squadron. In this collection are a Rolleicord camera used to document the liberation of Ebensee, copies of the photographs taken, Maitland’s dog tag, and documents which record Maitland’s involved participation in Holocaust commemoration as a liberator.
