Brief Description: This Collection can be conditionally divided on to the US Army instructions, guidance materials, medical manuals of prewar and wartime on one side and on the prewar and wartime documents in the form of guide-books, journals, magazines, maps, illustrative postcards and personal correspondences gathered by Captain A.V. Feldser in 1944 –1945 in the European war-theater.

Biographical Note for Captain A.V. Feldser, MD (in the course of the Second World War) :

A.V. Feldser entered military service for Illinois. Started the service in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he later was assigned to the 53rd Medical Battalion, stationed in Earl of Ducie’s Castle in Falfield, UK.

Two years he served in the European war-theater in the First, Third and the Fifth US Armies. Entered service as a Second Lieutenant, he rose in rank to the First Lieutenant and then Captain. He was to be promoted to the rank of Major when discharged.
